On 14th May, Michael Culture Association organised a workshop in Rome on "Critical and creative thinking: The digital cultural heritage at the service of school education" in the framework of the Creative School project! The workshop, in Italian, was targeted at innovative school teachers and professionals.
During the workshop, the 31 participants were introduced to the CRAFTED methodology, meaning the didactic approach must keep into consideration the following elements:
Cross-curricular and inter-disciplinary, Respectful, Adaptable, Flexible, Thinking routines and strategies, Electronic/Digital, Differenziatied.
Then the experimentation of our Creative School OERs developed was presented, showing the different offers according to students' age and topics. Critical thinking is the way to objectively analyze and evaluate a topic, in order to form a judgment: it is the basis for stimulating creativity, problem-solving, collaboration and digital literacy.
The final part of the workshop involved all the participants in an animated debate on some ethical dilemmas and in a practical experiment on visual thinking associated with the creation of a story. The event was successful and an interesting occasion to create new relations with Italian flipped teachers, schools and other educational organisations.
